Water park Stará Ves – Sromowce Wyžne, akciová spoločnosť Spišská Stará Ves, started its activities in 2007 with the intention to build the THERMAL park premises with a hotel in the cadastral area of Spišská Stará Ves. It is a part of the Zamagurie microregion, which has been intensively sought by the tourist community from around the world due to its convenient location and leisure time opportunities. The region is exceptional mainly because of the diversity of its natural potential, suitable climatic conditions and clean environment.
The company bought the strategic plots with the area of 8,3 ha and prepared a project for zoning. The main activity of the company is the operation of the water park and geothermal swimming pools, provision of accommodation and catering services, operation of athletic facilities and facilities intended for regeneration and recovery. The purpose of the project is to build the THERMAL park premises offering complex services to both domestic and foreign visitors, as well as leisure time opportunities throughout the year.
The great advantage of the site is a direct connection to the road crossing in the direction of Nowy Targ – Krakow- Rzeszov; Poprad – Vysoké Tatry; Stará Ľubovňa – Prešov – Košice – Ukraine.
The shareholders of Water park Stará Ves – Sromowce Wyžne, akciová spoločnosť Spišská Stará Ves, include TATRAMAT, a.s., a private Polish shareholder, and the Polish self-governing municipality group – gmina Czorstyn.
